Pools’ Women’s Team face an exciting SSE FA Cup tie on Sunday as they travel to take on Women’s National League Division One North outfit Bolton Wanderers (2pm kick-off).

Bolton are only one league above Pools in the pyramid but have enjoyed an encouraging start to the new campaign and thumped Leeds United 4-0 in their last outing.

Pools also go in to Sunday’s Second Round Qualifier in good form having won at Washington in the previous stage of the competition and also beaten rivals South Shields in the League Cup last week.

“It’s going to be a good adventure for us,” admitted boss Craig Devon.

“I know the girls have come up against big teams in the FA Cup in recent years but to draw Bolton Wanderers with all the history connected with the Club is great for us.

“It will be a good experience for us as a team and we’re looking forward to it so we want to go there and give a really positive account of ourselves.”

The tie takes place at the Kensite Stadium in Atherton with a 2pm kick-off on Sunday and we’ll have a full report here on the Official Website on Monday.
