It is with considerable frustration and anger that we today announce that we have suspended our relationship with Kit Supplier BLK.
We promised from the outset that we would be open and transparent with fans and as such wish to communicate at the earliest opportunity.
We inherited a relationship with BLK which we quickly became aware had its problems. Notwithstanding this, we made a significant effort to give it a chance and put our best endeavours behind this year’s new kit launch.
Sadly, there have been many issues, most important of which has been the difficulty, despite assurances, in maintaining adequate stock levels in the shop and provision of training kit for the First Team and Academy players.
Our only priority is to protect Hartlepool United and therefore we have adopted a very strong stance during which we would like to apologise to fans and parents of Academy players for the interruption in supply.
We are working quickly to conclude this matter and, whilst that is the case, would ask that fans do not seek to buy their replica kit from BLK directly at this time.
We will give a further update at the start of next week and would like to make it absolutely clear that we will always adopt a very strong stance in protecting the Club, its image and its integrity even if it proves costly in the short-term.
In the meantime, the Club Shop at The Super 6 Stadium will remain open for business and fans can also continue to order merchandise via our Online Store.
We look forward to various new lines of leisure wear being introduced to the shop in the coming weeks and thank all concerned for their understanding and patience.
