Pools will play host to Kidsgrove Athletic in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round after the Staffordshire outfit saw off Workington in a replay on Wednesday night.
The Evo-Stik West Division side fought back from a goal down to force extra time before Rumenio’s close-range strike ten minutes in to the first period finally settled the encounter as the hosts secured a 2-1 victory.
Pools boss Matthew Bates and Chief Scout Tommy Miller were both at Hollinwood Road for the replay to cast an eye over the Club’s potential opponents.
Currently eighth in the Evo-Stik West Division and managed by former Burton Albion defender Ryan Austin, The Grove have now equalled their best-ever run in the FA Cup by getting past Workington.
Kidsgrove are now set to visit The Super 6 Stadium for the first time on Saturday 20th October (3pm kick-off) with ticket details to be confirmed in due course.
