Hartlepool United Women’s Team are preparing for a big game in the NERWFL on Sunday when they host rivals Durham Cestria at Grayfields Enclosure (2pm kick-off).

Craig Devon’s outfit got off to the perfect start in their opening Premier Division game last weekend when they thumped Castleford White Rose 7-0 away from home.

However, Durham are likely to be one of Pools’ biggest rivals for promotion this season so Sunday’s fixture is certain to offer a sterner test.

Pools finished one place and six points behind their weekend opponents last term, with Durham completing a Premier Division double over them.

But with Pools’ confidence on a high following last week’s brilliant result on the road, they will approach Sunday’s home clash with optimism.

The game takes place at Grayfields Enclosure at 2pm and entry is free for all supporters.
