Pools Women’s Team are in League Cup action on Sunday when they host Wallsend at Dyke House (2pm kick-off).

Having knocked out South Shields in the previous round of the competition, Craig Devon’s outfit will hope to make further progress against their Tyneside rivals this weekend.

Confidence will be high in the camp after Pools moved back up to second in the NERWFL Premier Division table with a victory over South Shields last Sunday.

Wallsend have so far struggled for consistency in the league having won just two of their seven fixtures and Pools did the Premier Division double over them last term so they’ll be hoping to continue that trend.

The game is being played at Dyke House at 2pm on Sunday and entry is free for all supporters.
