Pools fan Alan Whelpton became the 250th Season Ticket holder for 2018/19 on Thursday morning and then predicted brighter times ahead for the Club.
The retired ICI worker was at Victoria Park to renew his Season Ticket for the Mill House Stand and his purchase helped Pools hit 250 just one week in to the summer sales drive.
Alan has been a Season Ticket holder for the last seven years and, despite seeing some times of struggle on the pitch, he’s crossing his fingers for a change in luck during the new campaign.
“I was always going to get my Season Ticket, it’s great value again this year,” he told us.
“I am absolutely desperate to see the team do well and put in some better performances – the last few seasons have been agony but we live in hope.
“Pools supporters are hardened over the years but they’re the best around – to get 3,000 plus when the side is struggling is some going and I just hope the team repays us all in the coming season.
“I keep clicking on the Official Website to check if there are any comings and goings so hopefully we can bring a few new players in because that will really get the Season Ticket sales going.”
Pools have frozen Season Ticket prices once again for 2018/19 to ensure as many fans as possible can get behind the team next term.
