Scott Loach has scooped a double award for his performances during 2017/18 after being named both the Supporters’ and the Players’ Player of the Year.
The goalkeeper was an ever-present in his first campaign at The Vic, playing in every minute of Pools’ 49 games in the National League, FA Cup and FA Trophy.
He produced some incredible performances during the course of the season, pulling off a catalogue of astonishing saves – including two brilliant penalty stops – and keeping nine clean sheets.
Loach was the unanimous choice of his team-mates for Players’ Player of the Year and also won the majority of votes cast by fans to comfortably land the double prize.
"It means a lot to me, I'm really proud and honoured," Loach told Pools PlayerHD.
"I came here with a job to do and I think I've done alright but I definitely feel like I can do better and we can do better as a team.
"There were some strong candidates for this in the changing room so I am really happy with the two awards."
The 29-year-old was at Victoria Park on Wednesday morning to pick up his two trophies and also collect a bottle of Champagne to help him celebrate.
