Pools Reserves return to action on Tuesday afternoon when they make the trip to take on Morecambe at The Globe Arena (1pm kick-off).
Ian McGuckin will lead a young side in action against The Shrimps, with Ryan Catterick set to start in goal and Aaron Cunningham getting more minutes under his belt after time out with an ankle injury.
Former Pools youngster Jack Blackford is also in the travelling squad after returning from a trial in America, while the Club will also take the chance to look at another trialist in the fixture.
Pools lie ninth in the Central League table, four points behind Morecambe but with a game in hand and victory on Tuesday afternoon would see them leapfrog Doncaster Rovers in the standings.
“The lads have been worked hard in recent weeks but they’re looking forward to the game,” said McGuckin.
“We want to try and finish the season as strongly as possible and hopefully the lads who are in the line-up can go out there and take the opportunity to impress.
“It’s another game at a First Team stadium which is good for the young boys so it is all good experience which will stand them in good stead.”
The game kicks-off at 1pm and we’ll have a full report and reaction here on the Official Website following the final whistle.
