Pools will hold a family Open Day at Victoria Park on Thursday 26th July and we want you all to come along to be part of the ‘Big Team Photo’.
We’re planning an afternoon packed full of activities, which will also include a reveal of the new 2018/19 home kit.
Highlights will include:
- Reveal of the new 2018/19 home kit
- Join the players for our official 2018/19 team photo
- Mingle with players and staff at our fun day
- 2018/19 home kit on sale
Gates will be open from 3pm when supporters will join us in The Prestige Group Cyril Knowles Stand for the annual team photo.
After seeing the players come out in the new home strip and watching the usual photographs take place, fans will gather behind the players for an overall team photo.
Once the photographs are over, everyone will make their way over to the EDC Neale Cooper Stand, where the players will join fans for more fun and games.
We’ll have a wide selection of games and inflatables for our young fans to enjoy themselves, whilst also getting the chance to meet the Pools players and staff.
The Club Shop will be open from 3.30pm as the new BLK home kit goes on sale, with players also on hand to meet fans coming along to buy the strip.
There will be food and beverage cabins open on both sides of the ground on the afternoon so you can come along and make a real day of it.
Entry into the Open Day will be free of charge and the Club would like to see as many supporters as possible come along to meet the players.
And the day will be rounded off with a Fans Forum, which will be held at the nearby Corporation Club and will give supporters the chance to hear from Chairman Raj Singh, Craig Hignett, Matthew Bates, Mark Maguire and Ian Scobbie. We’ll have full details of tickets for the Fans Forum available shortly.
Chief Executive Mark Maguire commented; “It’s really important that we bring the Club together; players, staff, the Board and of course the fans.
"We hope this Open Day will provide an opportunity for everyone to get together before the serious business starts.
"It is only right that fans get the chance to be part of the team photo – without them there simply wouldn’t be a Club and the Open Day is hopefully a chance for us to show our gratitude.
"As for the Fans Forum we’ve promised openness and honesty and it’s important we give fans the chance to ask any questions they have face to face. We are committed to regular events like this but hope as many fans as possible can join us as we build up for the season.”
