Matthew Bates has paid tribute to the “amazing support” from Pools fans after Season Ticket sales for 2018/19 eclipsed figures from last term.
There were 2,723 Season Ticket holders during 2017/18 but, with queues still forming in the Ticket Office, sales figures for the new season have already hit 2,750.
The Pools boss had admitted he and the players are taken aback by the level of backing the fans have shown this summer and it’s making them even more determined to hit the ground running this season.
“I’ve always known the fans here are brilliant but the way they have stuck with the Club is fantastic,” Bates told us.
“We’re working as hard as we can behind the scenes and on the training pitch to make sure we’re ready to go and firing on all cylinders come the first game of the season.
“We know that our fans deserve to see this Club playing at a higher level and we’re going to do everything we can to pay them back for their amazing support.”
The deadline for the Early Bird offer is due to pass at 4pm on Wednesday after which there will be a slight increase in the prices of Season Tickets for 2018/19.
