It’s been revealed that Pools will open up their National League campaign away from home after the fixtures for 2018/19 were released on Wednesday afternoon.
Matthew Bates’ men will travel to Maidstone United on Saturday 4th August before returning home for a Victoria Park double header against newly-promoted Harrogate Town on Tuesday 7th August and Ebbsfleet United on Saturday 11th August.
Pools will have played almost a third of their league games by the end of September after the fixtures schedule showed a whopping 14 outings in the first two months.
It will be a case of déjà vu for Pools fans over the festive period who have been presented with a Boxing Day trip to Gateshead before the Tynesiders make the return trip to The Vic on New Years Day – after Chesterfield have visited on Saturday 29th December.
For the second season running Pools will end the campaign up against one of the promotion favourites when National League new boys Salford City make their first league visit to The Vic on Saturday 27th April.
And for Pools fans looking forward to getting in to the fancy dress spirit, the final away game of the campaign is at Barrow – Holker Street won’t know what’s hit it on Easter Monday (22nd April).
