Pools are set to travel a whopping 3,000 miles to play their fixtures during the first two months of the new National League campaign.
The fixtures for the 2018/19 season were released at 1pm and Matthew Bates’ men have been tasked with plenty of travelling during a hectic opening to the new term.
As well as a trip to Maidstone United on the opening day, Pools are off to Braintree Town and Dagenham & Redbridge all within the first month.
September kicks-off with the second-longest journey of the season to Havant & Waterlooville – only Dover Athletic is further away from The Vic than Lee Bradbury’s Hampshire outfit.
Relatively local trips to Solihull Moors, FC Halifax Town and Salford City all follow in the second month but all add to the mileage which comes out at an eye-watering 3,054 in round trips.
