Jack Blackford has been released from his contract at Victoria Park by mutual consent.
The 19-year-old has left the Club with immediate effect and is set to travel to America to pursue an opportunity to further his career there.
Hartlepool-born Blackford has been on the books at Pools since he was just 9 and signed professional terms with the Club in April 2016, 24 hours after making his senior debut against York City.
However, the winger only made one further First Team appearance – as a substitute in the clash with Barnet towards the end of last season – and it’s now been mutually agreed that he will be released.
“I would like to thank the Club because it’s been a big part of my life since I was nine-years-old,” said Blackford.
“I am grateful for everything the Club has done for me and I appreciate all the hard work that has been put in by the staff and players over the years.”
Everyone at Victoria Park would like to wish Jack all the very best for his future career.
