Pools Reserves are in action at Victoria Park on Tuesday afternoon when they entertain Rotherham United in the Central League (1pm kick-off).

Matthew Bates has named a line-up which includes youth and experience, as well as a trialist Harrison Scott who gets his chance to impress in the game against The Millers.

The Reserves are still looking for their first league win of the campaign but will have their work cut out against a Rotherham side who have won three of their four games in the North Division so far.

“We are looking forward to it,” admitted Bates.

“It’s a chance for the players to show that they are knocking on the door of the First Team so we want them to go out there and perform.

“The young lads gain good experience from playing Reserve Team football and we know that Rotherham will be a test for them so it’s about how they cope with it.”

Season Ticket holders can get in to the game for free, while regular admission prices are £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.

We’ll have a full report and reaction here on the Official Website following the final whistle.
