Craig Harrison admitted his delight after seeing Pools return to winning ways with a 3-2 triumph over Woking at Victoria Park on Saturday.
Devante Rodney, Jake Cassidy and Rhys Oates all got on the scoresheet as Pools raced in to a three-goal lead by the break and they were able to fend off a late rally from their visitors to secure three points.
It brought to an end an eleven-game stretch without a win for the Club and Harrison said it was vital that the players paid back the supporters with that type of performance.
“It’s been a long time to wait but the fans were fantastic again so it was important to reward them and hopefully they go home happy tonight,” Harrison told Pools PlayerHD.
“Devante could have had a hat-trick today but he took his goal really well, Cass took his goal really well and then Rhys has been really brave to get in front of the goalkeeper to get the flick on for his goal.
“When you have those three fit they have pace and they have power; we’ve very rarely got them in the same team together and I think the last time we did we beat Halifax here.
“On a different day we could have scored seven or eight with the opportunities and the positions we got ourselves in to which is really pleasing.
“There were massive positives even though we got a bit sloppy and disjointed in the last ten minutes but we aren’t going to worry about that too much – it was three points and I’ll take that every week.”
