Hartlepool United Ladies are back in action in the town on Sunday when they host Castleford White Rose Ladies at Dyke House (2pm kick-off).

Andy Stuart’s team moved up to third in the North East Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division after their excellent win over Wallsend Ladies.

Now they will get the opportunity to put further pressure on second-placed Norton & Stockton and leaders Durham Cestria when they return to the pitch against second-bottom Castleford.

Pools will be approaching the game with confidence after goals from Jess Dawson (2) and Chelsea Basnett helped them to that victory last time out which brought them within five points of second place.

Entry to the game at Dyke House Sports & Technology College is free so if you’re at a loose end on Sunday make sure you pop along and support the Ladies Team.
