Jeff Stelling was back in Hartlepool on Wednesday night when he was our guest speaker at an event raising money for the Club’s Youth Development Fund.
The Soccer Saturday presenter thrilled guests at the event with stories of his time on the hit Sky Sports show, including some brilliant tales about the one and only Chris Kamara!
Stelling also spoke passionately about the situation at Victoria Park and urged all fans to stick together as the search for investment continues at the Club.
Guests at The Borough Hall event were also treated to some entertainment from award-winning comedian Gary Marshall before a charity auction and raffle took place at the end of the night.
The evening – which was superbly hosted by former Premier League referee Jeff Winter – attracted an audience of around 160 fans and raised some much-needed funds for the development of young players.
“I would like to thank everyone who came along and supported the event,” said Academy Manager John Hewitson.
“It was brilliant of Jeff to give up some time in his hectic schedule to come and be our guest speaker and I’m sure everyone had a great time.”
As part of the night there were also presentations to Ian McGuckin and Antony Sweeney for their excellent work with the Youth Team and Under-16 sides.
