Nicky Deverdics has thanked Pools fans for their backing and sent his best wishes to the Club after sealing a deadline day move to Wrexham.
The midfielder spent just over eighteen months at Victoria Park following his switch from Dover Athletic in the summer of 2016 and scored four goals in 63 appearances.
“Despite the difficulties on and off the pitch, I have enjoyed my time at the Club and I have nothing but respect for Hartlepool United,” said Deverdics.
“It’s a Club with a fantastic following and I think the events in recent weeks have underlined just how much Pools means to the people in the town.
“Last season I didn’t really do what I came to the Club to do when I was in and out of the team but this year I feel like I have been a valuable member of the side and built up a good connection with the supporters.
"I can't thank the fans at Pools enough for the way they've got behind me over the last year and a half - they've been brilliant with me and I hope I leave on good terms.
“I am obviously excited about the prospect of fighting for promotion with Wrexham but I can tell you that I will also be keeping everything crossed that things turn out well at The Vic.
“It’s a good opportunity for me to have a fresh start with a new club but I want to make sure it’s known that I wish everyone connected with Hartlepool United well.”
