Hartlepool United Ladies take centre-stage this weekend when they host Wallsend Ladies at Brierton on Sunday afternoon (2pm kick-off).

Andy Stuart’s side have been frustrated by the weather in recent weeks so will be chomping at the bit for a return to action in what is set to be a crucial game as they look to climb the table.

Pools are currently fifth in the North East Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division but are only three points behind second-placed Wallsend so a victory could see them make real progress.

They were beaten 4-1 by leaders Durham Cestria in their most recent outing at the start of last month but Stuart will know there is a real incentive to return to winning ways this weekend.

Entry to the game is free so please pop along and support our Ladies in action at Brierton on Sunday if you can.
