During half-time of Saturday’s game with Dagenham & Redbridge at The Super 6 Stadium, the fifth round of our Wheels Self-Drive Penalty competition took place.

And we had two exciting ties, with both winners now heading into the quarter-final stage.

The first tie saw St Aidan’s take on St John’s Primary School from Billingham:

Line-up for St Aidan’s:

Alfie Austwick
Olivia Sked
Jake Newburg
Lincoln Queen (GK)

Line-up for St John’s:

Sheamus Segrave
Nicea Frank
Sandire Moyo
Jacob Birtule
Arron Monoghan (GK)

St John’s won 3-1 with goals scored by Sheamus, Sanidre and Arron. Goalscorer for St Aidan’s was Jackson.

The second game was a real nail biter as St Joseph’s (Billingham) took on Clavering Primary School:

Line-up for St Joseph’s:

Conor Perry
Eve Whitehead
Joseph McNab
Bobby Garty
Lewis Dobson (GK)

Line-up for Clavering:

Toby Mulvihill
Arun Bartleson
Dan Mulvilhill
Joe Carroll
James Barber (GK)

After all five players from each team had taken their penalties, the game was tied at 3-3 so it was time for sudden death!

And Clavering took the victory in the end, winning 4-3.

Goalscorers for St Joseph’s: Eve Whitehead, Joseph McNab and Bobby Garty

Goalscorers for Clavering: Toby Mulvihill (x2), Dan Mulvihill and James Barber

Clavering and St John’s will now face each other in the quarter finals on Saturday 9th March when Pools take on Dover Athletic.
