We take a look at the latest from both camps ahead of Saturday’s National League meeting at The Chigwell Construction Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Matthew Bates will remain without the services of Andrew Davies for this weekend’s trip to face Dagenham & Redbridge.

The skipper looks set to remain sidelined for at least another couple of weeks after tearing a ligament in his ankle during the game against Ebbsfleet United.

However, Bates has no new injury worries to contend with as Pools head in a Bank Holiday double-header which will also see them host Chesterfield at The Super 6 Stadium on Monday.

Daggers boss Peter Taylor has a former Pools man in his ranks after snapping up Tomi Adeloye a fortnight ago and he should start after scoring in the defeat at FC Halifax Town last weekend.

Fellow new signing Noel Leighton is also pressing his claims for a full debut after coming off the bench against The Shaymen following his arrival at the club last week.
