New Players Arrive In Pools' Academy

Pools in Training Mark Fletcher (Shutter Press)

The Club is continuing to strengthen across all age groups in the Academy and we’re delighted to introduce several new signings.

Oliver JacksonOliver Jackson (Under 9)
Oliver is from Durham and was a part of the development squad last season and has successfully been signed for the Club’s Under 9s team for the year. He is a left-sided player who can operate in defence and midfield.

Lewis BrownLewis Brown (Under 10)
Lewis is a Hartlepool lad and goes to Kingsley Primary School in the town. His last club was Stranton FC and plays as a central midfielder. Lewis ranks joining the Club’s Academy as one of his best achievements to date.

Jacob PenpraseJacob Penprase (Under 11)
Jacob is from Seaham and goes to Trinity Primary. His last club was Durham City FC and he is most comfortable employed as a central midfielder or winger. As well as football, he tells us he enjoys cricket and running.

Brandon HayesBrandon Hayes (Under 9)
Brandon has joined the Academy after a successful trial period. He is a midfielder who can also play left or right sided. He told us that joining the Academy is one of his best achievements so far and is looking forward to it.

Gene SteelsGene Steels (Under 12)
Gene is a Hartlepool lad and goes to Dyke House Sports College. His previous team was Leven FC. A talented centre-forward, Gene is also a devoted Pools fan so was delighted to link up with our Under-12s.
