Aaron Cunningham is set for a start as part of a young Reserves line-up in this afternoon’s Central League game against Walsall at Victoria Park (1.30pm kick-off).
The 20-year-old is just back from a long spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury but made his senior debut at the weekend as a late substitute in the game against Torquay United.
He will now build-up his match fitness with a run-out for the Reserves during their encounter with The Saddlers, while the Club are also seeking clearance to include two trialists.
“It’s good to see Aaron in the line-up and getting some more minutes under his belt,” said Ian McGuckin, who will once again lead the side.
“It’s a hectic schedule we have but games are always better than training and they offer the lads a great chance to impress on the back of the recent change in ownership.
“It will be a good competitive game for us and another opportunity for the players to enjoy the Victoria Park facilities so we’re looking forward to it.”
Kick-off at The Vic is 1.30pm and Season Ticket holders can get in for free. Regular admission prices are £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
