Hartlepool United Ladies will go in search of a sixth successive victory when they make the trip to face Farsley Celtic Ladies on Sunday afternoon (2pm kick-off).
Andy Stuart’s side have hit form at just the right time but will need to be at their best once more against a Farsley outfit who have already beaten leaders Durham Cestria this term.
The hosts currently sit fifth in the North East Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division, two places and twelve points behind Pools but they have three games in hand and will be seen as dangerous opposition.
Pools are hoping to win again to put even more pressure on Durham and second-placed Norton & Stockton Ancients who they will meet in a crunch fixture on Teesside on Wednesday evening.
Stuart’s team ran out 3-1 winners when they travelled to Farsley in the FA Cup back in October and another victory this weekend would build further confidence following their astonishing recent run.
During their five successive victories Pools have smashed home an incredible 36 goals to play their way right in to the chase for promotion and they will now be looking to keep their focus for what is set to be an exciting run-in.
We’ll have a full report and reaction here on the Official Website on Monday.
