The Club can now announce details of its annual Play on the Pitch event.
The annual fans match, which is held at Victoria Park, will this year take place on Wednesday 2nd May, with kick off at 6.30pm.
Supporters can bid for their preferred position on either the home team or the away team, with numbers 1 – 11 available on each side.
The teams will each be managed by a member of Pools’ coaching set-up, with full details to be confirmed nearer to the date.
When the 90 minutes have been played on the Victoria Park pitch, the teams will return to the dressing room for a quick change before heading up to the Maidens Restaurant for a post-match meal and a debrief from both managers.
All team members will receive a match DVD and team photo after the game, while the Man of the Match will also receive a prize on the night.
Bidding for each position in both teams begins at just £75, but again we’re offering supporters the chance to guarantee their position for £130.
By guaranteeing a payment of £130 for your chosen position, it is yours for the game – providing yours is the first bid for that place.
However, if you would prefer to try and grab a spot in one of the teams for a lower cost then all shirts will initially be up for auction starting at the usual £75.
Both teams (Home and Away) are numbered 1 – 11, with all outfield playing shirts large and short-sleeved. The home GK shirt is red and the away GK shirt is bright yellow – both are large.
Any special requests for alternative shirt sizes will incur an additional cost and will be subject to availability.
This ultimate Pools package will include:
* Full kit for each player, including name and number
* Full ninety-minute game on The Vic
* Team Photo
* DVD of the game
* Post-match meal
* Post match analysis with the two Managers
Fans wishing to take part in the game can bid for one of the shirt numbers and the highest bidder* at the deadline of 5pm on Wednesday 18th April will win that position in the team.
Email your bid to email@example.com, giving details of your name, address, age, contact telephone number and chosen team/position along with amount you wish to bid.
Once you've submitted your bid you will receive an email confirmation, plus another email if your bid has been beaten.
If you have any questions then contact Mark or Becky in the Media Department on 01429 272 584 (Option 4).
*Fans wishing to bid should be of appropriate fitness to participate in full ninety-minute game and also over the age of 16.
