Pools Ladies Team will hope to maintain their promotion hopes on Sunday afternoon when they make the trip to face Castleford White Rose Ladies (2pm kick-off).
Andy Stuart’s in-form side have won four in a row to keep on the coat tails of second-placed Norton and Stockton Ancients and leaders Durham Cestria.
However, they know there is little margin for error during the run-in and will be approaching the weekend’s game at second-bottom Castleford with real focus.
The West Yorkshire outfit were thrashed 12-0 when they made the trip to face Pools at Dyke House back in February but Stuart and his team will be expecting them to be a much tougher proposition on home soil.
A fifth successive win would lift Pools back within two points of Norton who they still have to play twice during what looks like being an exciting finish to the North East Women’s Football League Premier Division campaign.
We’ll have a full report here on the Official Website on Monday.
