Craig Harrison is expecting another bright performance from his players on Saturday after giving them the chance to recharge their batteries on the back of five games unbeaten.
After seeing his squad collect an impressive seven points from nine and complete long trips to Wrexham and Leyton Orient, the Pools boss allowed them some extra time off.
However, once the work began again the focus returned and now Harrison is challenging the lads to continue building momentum when they welcome Eastleigh to The Vic on Saturday.
“It’s been good to get the opportunity to have got a bit of downtime and make sure the lads have that rest and recovery they need,” Harrison told Pools PlayerHD.
“They had Sunday and Monday off for some time away and with their families because it’s been a heavy schedule recently and they’ve been in more or less every Sunday for a while.
“We were back in on Tuesday, have worked very hard and we’ll be prepared right for Saturday because we know it’s going to be another tough game.
“Eastleigh have some good players who have experience in the Football League and even the Premier League so nobody should be taking them lightly.
“It’s good that our supporters are turning up happy but we won’t get carried away – from a professional point of view we will prepare in the same way we have for every game in this good run.
“It’s building blocks all the time but you have to try and progress so hopefully we can do that this weekend.”
