We take a look at the latest from both camps ahead of Saturday’s game at Victoria Park.

Craig Harrison is waiting for more news on defender Keith Watson after he was forced off with a knee injury during the closing stages of Saturday’s win at Leyton Orient.

The centre-back has undergone tests this week but will now be given a CT scan on Thursday which will give more details on the nature of the injury.

There is good news for young front man Connor Simpson who was expected to train with the squad again on Thursday morning after shaking off a knee injury but it’s unclear whether Saturday’s game will come too soon for the 17-year-old.

Scott Harrison is still receiving treatment on a foot injury and is unlikely to be ready in time, while Blair Adams (groin) and Luke George (hamstring) are still building fitness for returns. Jake Cassidy is definitely out with a stress fracture in his foot.

Eastleigh boss Richard Hill could opt to hand winger Sam Wood a start after he returned to action from the bench in the weekend’s draw with AFC Fylde following an absence with two dead legs.

Influential front man Ben Williamson was also used from the bench in the closing stages on Saturday so he is also pressing his claims for a starting spot at The Vic this weekend.

Paul McCallum, Gavin Hoyte and Sam Togwell have all been missing through injury so will be further assessed ahead of the trip to the north-east.
