Pools have been drawn to play away at Morecambe in the First Round of the FA Cup.

Craig Harrison’s made it in to the draw for the First Round Proper after seeing off South Shields in a 2-1 win at Mariners Park on Saturday.

Pools have an impressive record at The Globe Arena having won on three of their four visits.

It’s set to be a battle of the former TNS managers because Morecambe’s Assistant Manager, Ken McKenna was in charge at the Welsh outfit between 1998 and 2005.

“I know Ken quite well so it’s a nice connection and makes for an interesting game,” said Harrison.

“I spoke to him when I first got the job at TNS and then quite a lot during the time I was in charge there so it will be nice to go up against him.

“At this stage you ideally want to try and get a home draw but it wasn’t to be – it’s a tough game but we’ll go there confident we can win and get through to the Second Round.”

First Round ties are due to be played over the weekend of 3rd to 6th November.
