The Club have once again teamed up with the Supporters’ Trust and North East Athletic to organise a collection for Hartlepool Foodbank ahead of our game with Sutton United on Saturday 21st October.
The collection point will be based in the Family Zone in the Victoria Lounge, while donations can also be dropped into main reception or the Corner Flag.
Supporters can donate the usual non-perishable food items such as soup, pasta, rice, beans, tinned meat or vegetables, tea and coffee which will be passed on to the food bank on Church Street.
The Foodbank have highlighted a current shortage of long-life milk, juice, cereals, sweet snacks (biscuits etc.) and toiletries.
Once again we will have volunteers from North East Athletic – a sports club set up in 2012 for people in our region in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction – will help with the collections on the day from 12noon until kick-off.
The Club held a similar collection ahead of a game at the end of last season and had a great response, with Pools fans making an impressive level of donations.
And are delighted to be able to join forces with the Trust and NEA to support such an important local charity,
“We’re happy to support a good local concern once more,” Chairwoman Pam Duxbury said.
“We had huge success last time with linked up with Hartlepool Foodbank and we’re hoping that Pools fans will be just as generous again this weekend.”
