Tickets for the FA Cup match at South Shields (Saturday 14th October, 3pm Kick Off) went on sale at Victoria Park this morning.
And two Pools fans were so eager to ensure they got their tickets for the Fourth Round Qualifying fixture that they started off the queue at 2am.
Ben Green and Ben Hope were the first to arrive at the ground as they looked to continue their 100 percent record of attending all home and away fixtures this season.
"We just wanted to make sure we got the tickets,” Ben Green told hartlepoolunited.co.uk.
“We only got 405 tickets and there are around 3000 Season Ticket Holders so we didn’t want to take any chances.
“We haven’t missed a game, home or away yet and we’re trying to get to as many as we can this year.
While the pair were the first to arrive, they were joined after around half an hour by Denny Bates and the queue continued to grow steadily throughout the morning with fans looking to get their hands on the South Shields tickets.
And with Ben Hope and Ben Green having secured their tickets, they’re now looking forward to the big match on Saturday,
“It will be a tough game,” Green said.
“We’ve seen South Shields play a few times this season and they do like to attack so I think they’ll bring the game to us but I think we’ll come out on top!”
And with that, the pair left the Club with their tickets but there was no rest for one of the pair.
After his 7.5 hour stint outside The Vic last night, Ben Hope left to go to work to put in another five-hour shift!
