We turn our attentions to the weekend's action with a full and in-depth preview of Pools' first-ever visit to Stonebridge Road.
Ebbsfleet United v Hartlepool United
Vanarama National League
Saturday 25th November 2017, 3pm
Ebbsfleet United boss Daryl McMahon has demanded a response from his side in the game against Pools this weekend after they suffered back-to-back losses for the first time this season.
It was a pretty bizarre start to the campaign Fleet, who managed to draw nine of their first eleven games, including an incredible run of seven in succession.
They enjoyed a more productive spell through September and in to October when they won four from five in the league to move in to the top half of the table.
However, just one win in the last six has seen them drop down five places though they can move level on points with Pools with a victory at Stonebridge Road this weekend.
One To Watch
Danny Kedwell has already found the net seven times in all competitions this season so will need to be well marshalled by the Pools defence on Saturday.
The forward joined Ebbsfleet United in January 2015 from Gillingham but has spent much of his career providing a goal threat at various non-league clubs.
He’s got a record of about one in three since moving to Stonebridge Road and will hope to move closer to double figures this term at Pools’ expense this weekend.
Head To Head
Saturday’s game will be the first-ever competitive meeting between Pools and Ebbsfleet United.
Sam Purkiss will take charge of his first-ever Pools game this weekend when he’s on the whistle for our National League trip to Stonebridge Road.
New to the National League list of referees this season, Purkis has presided over six fixtures so far in 2017/18 with his most recent coming in Aldershot Town’s 2-1 win over AFC Fylde earlier this month.
He’s been busy during his last three outings, showing twelve yellow cards and four red cards in total.
Pools fans will be able to follow the action with full live commentary on Pools PlayerHD as we link-up with our friends at BBC Tees once again.
Tickets will be available to Pools fans on the turnstiles prior to kick-off at Stonebridge Road.
