Craig Harrison has insisted that the point Pools picked up at Boreham Wood will only be a good one if they follow it up with some winning football on home soil next week.
The Pools boss was thankful to Scott Loach for another excellent performance, including a crucial second half penalty save as his side drew 0-0 on their first-ever visit to Meadow Park.
“I wouldn’t say I am satisfied because we wanted to come here and win the game,” Harrison told Pools PlayerHD.
“I think the substitutions in the last twenty minutes showed that because we finished with Devante, Cass, Franksy and Tomi all on the pitch trying to get at them.
“Scott saved the penalty and that has to be taken in to consideration so maybe it’s a positive point especially away from home but it will only be a good one if we follow it up by winning at home next week.
“Scott has been excellent for us; he’s a man mountain on the pitch and a leader of men. Every successful team has a good goalkeeper and we’re very pleased we have him.
“In attack we have to try and work the keeper more and we get in good positions play that little better pass or try and get a shot off but it’s another clean sheet and that’s a positive.
“The fans were fantastic again, not only for me but the players as well. When we come to the end of the season they will probably have got us ten to fifteen points – that’s how important they are.”
