Hartlepool United Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Craig Harrison as the new First Team Manager.
The Club has been through a rigorous selection process and Harrison stood out as a young, dynamic and ambitious manager with an impressive record.
The 39-year-old, originally from Gateshead, represented Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace during his playing days before his career was cut short by a serious leg injury.
Harrison moved in to coaching and management, initially with Airbus UK Broughton before moving on to fellow Welsh Premier League outfit The New Saints.
During his time with TNS, they have been crowned Welsh Premier League champions six times, won four Welsh Cups and two Welsh League Cups, whilst also breaking Ajax’s world record for successive top flight victories with 27 consecutive wins.
“I’m looking forward to working with Craig as we embark on a rebuild of the Club,” said Chief Executive Pam Duxbury.
“He knows what it takes to succeed and is determined to bring his winning formula to our Club and get us back to where we belong in the Football League.
“I think fans and players alike will take to him when they see the passion, dedication and ideas that he has to take our Club forward and realise its potential."
Please join us in welcoming him to our Club.
