Dave Jones admitted his frustration after seeing his side lose on the road again at Notts County this afternoon.
The Pools boss wants his players to change their mentality in games as he told Pools PlayerHD after the match,
“The whole game was more than comfortable, it’s just that belief,” Jones said.
“It’s driving me round the bend a little bit.
“It’s this away form that they have got to shake themselves out of and I thought today that the game was there for them to get something.
“Yes we had to shuffle the pack because of the injuries but we dealt with that, that was fine.
“But there were just too many individual mistakes, just switching off at vital times and that’s what we have to cut out.
“It’s a different mentality and that’s what I just told them. We have to change the mentality here, it’s too easy to just switch off in games and then teams will punish you.
“The run (away games without a win), I don’t know how long it is, it doesn’t really matter, it is just the mentality side – we expect that we are going to lose and that’s why the Chairman brought me in, to try and change that.”
