Thomas In Running For EFL Goal Of 2016

18 March 2017

Nathan Thomas’ wonder-goal at Grimsby Town in October has been shortlisted for the Mitre Goal of the Year for 2016.

The Pools star’s delicious chip at Blundell Park rounded off a terrific 3-0 win over The Mariners and caught the eye of EFL judges after we submitted it as the Club’s best goal of the calendar year.

The EFL have drawn up a shortlist of ten goals across all three leagues and now you can help Thomas win the award by voting for his goal as your favourite.

Visit efl.com/goty17 to see all the contenders and cast your vote – voting closes at midnight on Tuesday 28th March when the shortlist will be whittled down to just five.

The overall winner will be unveiled at the EFL Awards at the London Hilton on Sunday 9th April.
