We take a look at the latest info from both camps ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two game against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road (3pm kick-off).
Dave Jones has a number of players struggling with knocks ahead of this weekend’s game and will leave his final decisions over them until as late as possible.
Rhys Oates missed the game against Wycombe Wanderers with a thigh strain but the front man is doing everything he can to come back in to contention for Saturday, while Matthew Bates has been unwell this week but should be fine to travel.
Liam Donnelly is also on the mend after being forced to sit out last weekend’s game with a dead leg sustained in the win at Cambridge United and it’s hoped the defender will be able to feature at Blackpool.
Carl Magnay came through a full ninety minutes for the Reserves on Wednesday afternoon as he steps up his return from a cruciate ligament rupture but Club medical staff are reluctant to rush him back in to First Team action.
Rob Jones continues to have treatment on a knee injury and won’t play, while Trevor Carson is likely to remain sidelined for the rest of the season after a shoulder operation.
Blackpool front man Kyle Vassell is hoping to boost their play-off hopes by returning from injury ahead of schedule and could even face Pools at Bloomfield Road this weekend.
Vassell has been missing for the last month with a broken foot which was initially expected to end his season but now the 24-year-old is eyeing a return to action imminently.
Brad Potts and Andy Taylor are both moving back towards contention after injury and could play some part against Pools, though Armand Gnanduillet is still ruled out with a groin problem.
