Adam Bartlett has had his Pools contract cancelled by mutual consent after he requested the chance to take up a coaching role at Middlesbrough.
The 31-year-old joined Pools in the summer of 2015 and has gone on to make 29 First Team appearances in all competitions for the Club.
However, Bartlett expressed a desire to be released from his current deal to take up a full-time coaching post in Middlesbrough’s Academy and the Club did not want to stand in his way.
Bartlett had been on the bench for Pools in recent games after losing his place in the starting eleven to loan star Joe Fryer following Trevor Carson’s season-ending shoulder surgery.
Everybody at the Club would like to wish him all the very best in his new career.
