Pools boss Craig Harrison has made it a hat-trick of new signings on Friday by capturing attacking midfielder Jack Munns from Cheltenham Town.
The 23-year-old schemer was freed by The Robins at the end of the 2016/17 campaign but Pools have moved quickly to negotiate terms and bring him to the North East.
Munns has experience in the National League having starred in Cheltenham’s title-winning campaign of 2015/16, during which he scored eight times and also topped the club’s assists chart.
Born in Dagenham, Munns’ career began at Leyton Orient but he was snapped up by Tottenham Hotspur in 2012 whilst still a teenager.
After a couple of seasons on the books at Charlton Athletic, the exciting youngster made the move to Whaddon Road where he made 68 appearances in the past two seasons and caught the eye of Pools boss Harrison.
Munns becomes the third new arrival of the day, following hot on the heels of front man Jake Cassidy and midfielder Luke George.
