Pools have clinched their second signing of the day with the arrival of commanding midfielder Luke George from Chester.
Still only 24, George already has vast experience of the National League having spent the last two years on the books at Chester following a similar spell with Southport.
Tough-tackling George wore the captain’s armband at both of his two previous clubs and brings leadership as well as ability to Craig Harrison’s squad at The Northern Gas and Power Stadium.
The boss has been keeping tabs on the Liverpool-born star for a long period of time and he immediately became a target once he was appointed to the job at Pools.
George follows in the footsteps of Jake Cassidy in putting pen to paper on a deal with the Club and they will now link-up with their new team-mates when they return for pre-season training later this month.
