Craig Harrison has confirmed that there will be a number of trialists involved during Saturday’s final pre-season friendly at Whitley Bay (3pm kick-off).
Former Pools star Jonathan Franks has been back in training with the Club and he is set to get some minutes under his belt at Hillheads Park.
Also part of the travelling squad will be winger Junior Mondal, while midfielder Lewis Maloney could also get some game time after joining the Club on trial following his release from Middlesbrough.
Canadian Under-23 international Kosovar Sadiki – who was an unused substitute in Friday’s win over Middlesbrough – is also expected to get a run out at Whitley Bay.
Pools boss Harrison will field all of the senior players who didn’t get game time against Boro, with Devante Rodney set for his first action of pre-season after shaking off a hip problem.
Midfield man Luke George is also set to return to the fold after overcoming a troublesome calf problem but there will be no place for Rhys Oates who continues to rest his groin injury.
Pools fans will be able to pay on the gate at Hillheads Park with admission prices just £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.
