We’ve now hit another big milestone with Season Tickets for 2017/18 as we sold our 2000th ticket for the campaign.
Peter Barnes was in the Ticket Office to buy tickets for him and his son Luke and he became our 2000th Season Ticket Holder.
Peter and Luke have had Season Tickets at The Vic for around ten years now and have now secured their regular seats in the Cyril Knowles Stand for the new season.
“I’ve been away with work and my son Luke was panicking that we would miss the deadline,” Peter told us.
“So I only got back on Wednesday and made sure I got down here to get the tickets as soon as I could.
“He’ll be able to relax and enjoy his holiday now he knows we’ve got them, although he might be surprised to see my photograph everywhere!
“When I came in to buy my ticket, I asked how many had been sold and I was surprised we’d reached 2000 already.”
The Early Bird deadline is a week away now, with supporters having until 6pm on Friday 14th July to purchase their reduced-price Season Tickets.
And Mr Barnes is hopeful we’ll see even more sales over the next week ahead of a promising season,
“Hopefully we’ll sell another few hundred next week. I went to the Billingham game last week and saw the new signings and they’re looking good.
“I think we need another centre half but I’m glad we’ve brought someone in midfield who will get stuck in and I am just looking forward to it now.”
The Club's Ticket Office is open today (Saturday) between 9am and 1pm for fans to buy their Season Tickets.
