Reserves Ready For Ryhope CW Test

3 January 2017

Pools Reserves continue their Durham County Challenge Cup campaign on Tuesday evening when they host Ryhope CW at Billingham Town (7.30pm kick-off).

Sam Collins’ men reached the Second Round of the competition with a 3-2 victory over Tow Law and will now look to make further progress against their Wearside opposition.

Dylan Elliott, Kenton Richardson and Nat Skidmore are all set to start in a youthful Pools line-up in what will be a stern test against the Northern League outfit.

Ryhope CW are currently sitting 14th in Northern League Division One and will fancy their chances of making Round Three at Pools’ expense.

“These games have been really good when we’ve had them this season and last,” Collins told us.

“It’s different to what our players are used to in the Youth Team or Reserve leagues and sometimes the opposition have been more physical but, for me, that’s a good thing because the lads have to learn how to handle that.

“Even though the opposition are from a lower level they will have good players and some of them will have plenty of experience too so it’s a challenge we’re looking forward to.”

Admission prices at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
