Jake Carroll has completed a move from Pools to Cambridge United after the two clubs agreed undisclosed terms for the defender.
The 25-year-old left-back has made 73 appearances and scored one goal since joining Pools from Huddersfield Town in the summer of 2015.
However, following the arrival of Sean Kavanagh on loan from Fulham, Carroll was left out of Pools’ starting eleven on Saturday and has now been allowed to leave The Northern Gas and Power Stadium.
The Irishman travelled to Cambridge to undergo a medical and agree terms with his new club on Wednesday and will now be available for their home game against Blackpool this weekend.
Everyone at Hartlepool United would like to wish Jake all the best for his future career.
