We bring you the latest from both camps ahead of Saturday’s game at Victoria Park (3pm kick-off).

Craig Harrison will run the rule over a number of players ahead of the weekend clash with Maidenhead United as injury and illness continue to cause problems.

Michael Ledger missed the FA Trophy tie at Workington with a back problem but is hoping to feature, while Nicky Featherstone is working on his fitness after a fractured fibula.

Lewis Hawkins will miss the Maidenhead game through suspension after being sent-off at Workingt, while fellow midfielder Luke George is out with a hamstring injury.

Keith Watson is continuing to step up his training after a knee injury, while Carl Magnay is still sidelined after a heavy collision at Dover Athletic led to him having fluid on his lung.

James Thorne could return after illness but a virus has laid several of the other players low during the week leading up to the game and these will be checked upon ahead of Saturday.

Aaron Cunningham and Ryan Donaldson are both still recovering from ankle surgery.

Maidenhead United boss Alan Devonshire boosted his squad last week when it was confirmed that forward Moses Emmanueal had extended his loan stay from Sutton United so he is in line to start.

Harry Pritchard also proved his fitness with a return to action in The Magpies FA Trophy win at Woking last weekend so is another likely to be fielded against Pools.
