“Gutted, devastated, upset, frustrated, angry,” were Craig Harrison’s emotions when asked to sum up defeat to Workington this afternoon.

“I think there’s a mixture of emotions there but more so anger than anything else," Harrison told Pools PlayerHD after the match.

“It’s been a battle, a proper cup tie if you like with a lower league club and we haven’t gone out there and won the battle.

“We’ve conceded a late goal which was a poor goal again, and we could probably replicate that 4 or 5 times this season. A mistake, and its cost us again.

“There’s no excuses, sometimes it’s not about ability and being a better team, it’s just about rolling your sleeves up and having some balls and a bit of heart.

“The players are an honest bunch and its been a quite angry and emotional dressing room in there.”
