Carl Magnay is set for a short spell on the sidelines after suffering an injury to his abdomen in the game against Dover Athletic on Saturday.
The skipper was involved in a collision during the weekend encounter at Crabble Athletic Ground and subsequently reported to hospital for tests where they found some fluid on his lung.
Magnay will now undergo further assessment this week but is likely to be out of action for around two weeks.
“It’s a blow for Carl because he’s just got himself back from a hernia operation,” admitted boss Craig Harrison.
“He’s being well looked after now though and hopefully he will be back out on the pitch soon.”
