Craig Harrison has insisted that Pools must deliver a quick response for their supporters after suffering a heavy defeat at Dover Athletic on Saturday.
The Pools boss paid tribute to the travelling fans who made the epic journey to Kent only to see their team beaten 4-0 at Crabble Athletic Ground.
Harrison was again angry at the way his side conceded sloppy goals against The Whites and admitted it must improve in the coming games.
“We gave poor goals away and that’s been the story of the last few weeks really. The last goal sums it up because it’s too easy,” he told Pools PlayerHD.
“At times we’ve worked the ball in to the final third quite well but not taken the opportunity to get crosses in and get shots off.
“Their first goal was an early shot off by the players but we’ve got in to four or five positions similar to that and wasted them really by not having that little bit of quality.
“I was struggling with the red card because I thought it was a free-kick to us. Certainly at no point did I feel like it was going to be a sending-off watching it in real time so we’ll have to look at it.
“The fans travelled down here in their numbers again. They were absolutely unbelievable and they deserve better than that. We need to give them something back next week.”
