The winners in our one-off poppy shirt auctions were at Victoria Park on Saturday to be presented with the shirts personally by the players who wore them.
We raised another bumper amount for the British Legion’s Poppy Appeal by wearing a one-off kit design in our game at Boreham Wood last month and then making the shirts available for auction.
Scott Loach’s camouflage-style goalkeeper shirt brought the most – with a whopping bid of £1,040 enough to secure the top in which he saved a penalty in the goalless draw.
The players spent time before the game with Macclesfield Town talking to the winning bidders, signing autographs and posing for pictures in the Club’s Centenary Lounge.
We would like to thank everyone who took part in the auction for their generosity in donating to such a worthy cause.
