Craig Harrison was left frustrated after seeing his side lose 2-1 at Maidenhead United this afternoon.

“We can’t keep giving teams head starts,” Harrison told Pools PlayerHD after the game.

“Not only did we do it in the first half then as soon as we came out in the second, we got on the front foot and had them under the cosh for ten minutes and then we conceded another goal. And obviously we’ve got our backs to the wall then.

“We can’t keep going behind, it doesn’t matter who you play, what level you’re at and the last three games we’ve given teams a head start.

“It all stems down to that first goal, it doesn’t give you a platform to move onto in the second half, it hasn’t for the last three games.

“I think everyone will probably agree that in the first half we haven’t been good enough in all three games. In the second half we’ve probably been the best team in all three games but we’ve got to give ourselves a platform to work from.

“We understand the fans’ frustrations of course we do, we’re all football supporters and we all see it and the numbers that have come down today, it is frustrating.

“The lads are in tomorrow and we’ll pick the bones out of it and then we need a big performance on Tuesday.”
